Photography: Amphibian Portraits

My field work follows the tiny, wondrous lives of frogs and salamanders through roadside ditches in my hometown, to isolated river shallows in Central America. Kneeling or lying in the mud, I shoot low and close to provoke an experience of empathy toward these enchanting animals.
